Register with EasyEquities and everyone wins. Your registration for a free EasyEquities investment account puts R50 in your pocket to invest and R50 in the Words Open Worlds (WOW) bursary fund for students who are enrolled at Stellenbosch University (SU).
WOW, an empowerment project of the Stellenbosch Woordfees and SU, celebrates its 21st birthday in 2024. Through creative programmes that promote language, literature and the arts in underserved schools, WOW has been broadening the horizons of learners and educators since the year 2003. One of the flagship WOW projects is the largest spelling competition in South Africa, the national Sanlam WOW Spelling Festival, which takes place in eight provinces and is offered in three official languages: Afrikaans, English and Xhosa. The provincial qualifying rounds are in full swing, and the national finals will take place on 28 September at SU.
The scholarship fund supports students from the WOW-50 schools recruitment project at the University. WOW works side by side with the University’s Centre for Prospective Students to recruit candidates for study in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. WOW also offers ongoing support once learners have registered as Maties.
EasyEquities is an easy, safe and fast way to invest in a variety of options – both in South Africa and abroad. You can start with as little as R5 to pave your way to financial well-being and expertise. And this year they are also investing in you and in WOW.
This win-win situation works like this: If you create and register a new profile on the EasyEquities’ website, EasyEquities gives you R50 to invest as you see fit. And for every new profile registered, EasyEquities also donates R50 to the WOW scholarship fund. Registration is free and there is no obligation to invest more than the complimentary R50.
