Our media world is changing daily, and therefore, our course is also expanding to keep up with the evolving technological landscape. What was previously a traditional school newspaper course, focused on printed school newspapers laid out in newspaper style, has been adapted into a more general school media course, so that social and digital media, as well as the use of mobile phones, are also discussed. <\/span><\/p>\n

The project is aimed at schools and learners who mostly have limited resources (especially regarding computer and smartphone access, data, internet connection, and cash flow). In many cases, the involved schools have never had any form of school media, and the learners also do not have access to media, the internet, or technology at home \u2013 or perhaps only have limited access. However, some schools have been part of the project before and have submitted good school newspapers and stories for the competition. We can all learn from each other. <\/span><\/p>\n

We want to inspire and motivate learners and schools to tell their stories, think about their environments, get excited about possibilities and opportunities, find solutions, and be a mirror for their communities \u2013 even with limited resources and hardships. To the extent that it is practically possible, learners and teachers involved in the school media project will receive basic guidance with their stories, photos, videos, digital media, and newsletters. The idea is to communicate as best as possible within the school\u2019s specific circumstances, explore a creative outlet, and hopefully experience joy and a sense of togetherness about what schools and learners have already achieved. <\/span><\/p>\n

We hope it will open up worlds and bring about change, and in addition, important communication and language skills will also be learned.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Experienced journalists who were previously involved in the school media project are working again with the schools to prepare learners for the school media competition and provide guidance on the content and execution of the yearly plans. Schools are encouraged to watch the series of training videos and study the feedback and criteria from previous years’ school media competitions. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
